What is the date of the pageant weekend?

Saturday and Sunday, June 27th and June 28th 2015.  There are pageant activities being held on both days.

Where are the pageant activities and the pageant being held?

Who can participate?

The pageant is open to girls of any race, shape, size, or height between the ages of 4 – 18.

Do I have to be skinny, have perfect teeth, or wear a lot of makeup to participate?

No.  Miss Inner-Beauty America is an Inner- beauty pageant.  We encourage girls to celebrate their natural beauty and to love the skin they are in!  We consider our pageant more of an Inner-Beauty Party rather than a traditional pageant because all of our girls win prizes.  In our opinion, it’s not about the Glitz and Glamor, it’s all about the CONFIDENCE and CHARACTER!!

Are there rules regarding make-up?

Yes.  Makeup is limited.  Heavy makeup is strongly discouraged.  The only makeup allowed is age appropriate lip gloss, facial powder to control shine, light blush, and light mascara. Again, this is a Natural Beauty pageant…so let your natural beauty glow.

As a Natural pageant, are there rules regarding fake hair extensions and wigs?

Yes. Fake enhancements are discouraged (wigs, hair extensions, fake tans, flippers, fake eyelashes, fingernails, etc.) Please see the Rules & Regulations for more information.

Do I have to have a special talent to participate?

No.  The talent category is optional.  You can participate in the pageant without having to demonstrate a talent.  However, if you do participate in the Talent Optional Category, you have the chance to win the Ultimate Crown across all age divisions.

What are the Age Divisions?

(Age 4-6) – Tiny

(Age 7-9) – Little

(Age 10-12) – Junior

(Age 13-15) –  Pre – Teen

(Age 16-18) – Teen (must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA, and have performed at least 25 hours of community service)

What is the time commitment?

The Miss Inner-Beauty America Pageant is a 2-day weekend event.  Contestants are required to attend Pageant Orientation on Saturday, June 27th and are invited to attend our Pageant Optional Events on that evening.

The Miss Inner-Beauty America Pageant is being held on the afternoon of Sunday, June 28, 2015 in Plano, TX.

There are also several pre-pageant Confidence Camps that pageant participants are invited to. However, attendance at the Confidence Camps is optional. At the Confidence Camps contestants make new friends and receive instruction on poise, the pageant walk, stance, public speaking, etiquette, and everything else that they need to know as they grace the stage.

Is there training before the pageant?

Yes.  There are several pre-pageant Confidence Camps where contestants will make new friends and receive instruction on poise, the pageant walk, stance, pageant speeches, etiquette, and everything else that they will need to know as they grace the stage.

What types of clothes do I need to participate?

Your pageant attire can be new, borrowed, or old.  It doesn’t matter where it came from; it’s all about how you wear it on stage with confidence and poise. Please remember that self-confidence, a genuine smile, eye contact and personality projection are the most important things that the judges will be looking for, not the contestant with the most expensive attire.

For the mandatory pageant categories, you only need (4) outfits:

  1. Your official Pageant T-shirt and your choice of bottoms to go with the shirt.
  2. A Red, White, & Blue casual outfit of choice.
  3. An elegant formal, floor length, dress.
  4. Your choice of outfit for the Inner-Beauty Personal Expression category
How do I participate in the pageant?
    1. Complete the online registration form
    2. Upload a picture for the beautiful keep-sake program ad book to your registration form
    3. Pay your registration deposit to reserve your spot in the pageant.
    4. Start fundraising using the fundraising packet
    5. Pay your fundraising dues by June 1, 2015
    6. Get ready to have a great time!

What are the fundraising dues?

Fundraising dues help defray the cost of producing the pageant (i.e. prizes, awards, trophies, facility rental, staging, lighting, judge’s expenses, etc.) The fundraising dues also contribute towards the college scholarships awarded at the pageant.  Each pageant participant is required to raise at least $200 in fundraising dues by June 1st in order to participate.

 

 

How can I raise the funds?

The Fundraising dues can be raised through a combination of ads for the beautiful keepsake ad book, Sash Outs, and Pageant Sponsorships. Anyone, including parents, family members, or any business may contribute to fundraising dues or sponsor a contestant. Your sponsor fees are tax-deductible for businesses as a marketing expense.

Fundraising fees are not refundable or transferable. Once registered, you may download the fundraising kit to help you in your fundraising efforts.

 

 

Do I have to fund-raise or can I just pay my fundraising dues?

No, you do not have to fundraise. If you wish not to participate in fundraising, you can still participate in the pageant, but you must pay your $200 fundraising dues by June 1st.  However, if you fundraise, you have the chance of winning fundraising prizes.

 

 

Will all pageant participants be featured in the Beautiful Pageant Keepsake Ad Book?

Yes.  Our pageant keepsake ad book will feature each pageant participant. Please make sure that you upload a picture with your registration form to be included in the book.

 

 

How are the college scholarships awarded?

The college scholarships are awarded through the Teen age group, and scholarship amounts are dependent upon the pageant’s overall fundraising total. The Teen age group participants and scholarship recipient must have a cumulative 2.5 GPA and have completed at least 25 hours of community service, beginning their freshman year of high school, by the date of the pageant. Pageant contestants who win a scholarship have up to two years post the pageant date to submit all documents necessary for their scholarship to be processed for the University of their choice. All Scholarship monies will be sent directly to the contestant’s university of choice.
